She does have a set of rather large white feathered wings because of her heritage however they are not angel wings, they're the wings of a valkyrie. As such they can be hidden at will.

Valkyrie form is something that Raid can actually shift in to at will, sadly her clothes do not change, however on the up side, all scars she has disappear and she regains the use of her left eye. It's a sort of growth, showing just what she'd look like when she actually ages. On another note, she'll never age past that look, her body will cease to age once it reaches it's maturity and the more she uses this form, the closer she gets to actually sustaining it for as long as she'll live.

Once upon a time in a country known as Etandra a group of what are known as valkyries (both male and female) were imprisoned by a cruel king and queen. As centuries drew on the valkyries were used as weapons of war in a great many battles, their seemingly immortal lives were used to solidify victory and boost their army's morale during battle.

The years drew on and eventually some of the valkyrie broke free of their bonds, this event is noted as the shedding of red feathers. Sadly it is named that because as these valkyries attempted to flee and escape bondage they were shot down from the skies shedding blood soaked feathers all across Etandra.

Again there was a long pause in their lives, until eventually a new born valkyrie was delivered to the king and queens doorstep. Little did they know that this particular valkyrie was a descendant of the originals, the first born valkyries of the world.

She was handed to a valkyrian family to look after and nurture. Sadly once she was old enough and her wings showed she was separated from them and taken in to the King and Queens court. As she grew she was trained to use a blade. Trained for war and trained to ultimately serve the crown without any arguments.

However the girl was not stupid and she had a moral code as any knight should. With this training she went on in to a great many battles, the most notable are the battles where she lost her left arm and her left eye. First was her eye, she was only eleven years old and after slaughtering a great many soldiers she attempted to strike down the leader in the name of her king and queen only to have her face slashed and ultimately her eye cut open.

This left her in agony but she did not stop until the man was dead and she returned victorious albeit battered.

The next was the battle where she lost her left arm. She was actually captured and in being so information was something they attempted to get out of her. She did not break. She revealed nothing even when they scarred her body and eventually cut a limb from her body to prove they weren't messing around.

After a time she was rescued by the military force she lead and she was returned to the king and queen once more. However without her arm she was deemed useless and because of this she was sent to Sooso to have the arm replaced.

Again she returned home to Etandra, and now her years were spent serving on home ground. She rarely fought in wars as there were none to fight in. Instead she simply served her king and queen when she was needed and asked no questions. That was until the recent events that had occurred to do with their son being in the academy. Standing against the attack on the place she was dismissed from her services and given a dishonorable discharge having her title as knight removed.

Now she is at the academy to both learn and to help protect it from the king and queen, standing for what she truly believes is right and standing against what she believes to be wrong.

Raid is what is known as a Valkyrie.
