Yukiko was born and raised in a small town by the name of Inaba. From a very young age she was told that she would have to run the Inn that had been in her family for years when she was old enough. So she would spend some time during her younger years training to do the things that she would need to do for when that happened. This including cleaning, doing errands, and making sure everything was in order for the guests at the time of check in and check out. And for a time she was happy with this.

But as she started to grow older and become a young woman, she wanted to be something more, to do something more with herself than to simply be the owner of the Inn like her mother and father before her. She wanted to get out of Inaba, she wanted to get out and see the world, and little did she know that at some point in the not so distant future, she would get that chance. And oh what a chance it was. And it all centered around a young man that had moved into the town by the name of Yu. And while she wouldn't admit it outright, she had taken a strong liking to him.

So much so that she found out a bit about an older gentlemen by the name of Igor that Yu had seen right there in Inaba. And when she went to visit this older male for herself, she was gifted something that was akin to what Igor gifted to Yu, however her's was more focused, it wouldn't allow her to switch between things, or anything like that, however it would give her the power she had wanted, and it had come at the price of facing her darkness, her other self and this older gentlemen seemed to know just what to do to make all of this happen. She had questions, but she felt it best not to ask as she didn't fully understand what had happened herself.

It was a few months after all of this happened that she found out that Yu was leaving to attend that fancy Academy that she had heard so much about. And it was time for her to make the choice that would make things either the way she wanted them, or the way she was taught to have them from a child. And she made the choice of going with him. Or rather, she talked with her parents, told them that she wanted the chance to go to this school, and having already sent in her grade records and gotten a reply that she could get a scholarship because of her good grades, she was going to go wither they said no or not. But thankfully, they agreed and sent her off with some funds and other things to help her get started in her new home. All while having that power that Igor gave him in tow, that special tarot card.

Yukiko possesses the Priestess Arcana of the Tarot, and using this card she can summon her other self, a facade known as a Persona to help her in times of great need. She also has a pair of glasses that allow her to see clearly in most weather hazards, but most notably, the fog. It also allows her to see some spiritual essences and energies.
