Likely above all else, Jam is known for her bottomless spirit. She is energy incarnate, with something of a reputation for doing everything at 9000%, even when subtlety would probably be preferred. She’s confident in most things she does, though this isn’t always a pro to her, as it is very possible for her to hold unwavering courage in the wrong thing. This can get her into trouble, as she will react to such a misinterpretation from the heart and with action, complicating it more than if she had simply talked about it instead. Should she discover her error she is quick to apologize, of course. She hates being the antagonist.

A big dream awaits at the end of all this schooling. Jam, more than anything, desires to open a restaurant. This is a goal that cannot be negotiated. She is completely enamored with food. Its preparation is an art, its taste an experience. Some paint, others sing, Jam cooks. She’s more open to criticism about her cooking than one might expect, but outright insulting her talents in the kitchen is a fine way to make an enemy.

LIKES:
-Cooking
-Exercise
-Meeting new people
-Lazy days
-Learning new recipes
-Her Chinese heritage

DISLIKES:
-Jerks
-Indecision
-Being tricked
-General ignorance
-Any class with numbers
-Bullies

HABITS:
-Shouting/Being overly loud
-Violating personal space
-Drumming a surface or tapping her foot when bored

INTERESTING TRAITS:
-Cooking; She’s easily a restaurant-level chef. Her specialty is in East-Asian cuisine, but that is hardly a limit.
- Martial arts; Her specific school has no name, having said to have “lost all rights to it” long ago. It is an ancient art though, with a several-thousand year history, utilizing both the power of body and the esoteric magic known as Ki.
-Research; Surprisingly enough, Jam is highly diligent when it comes to looking into new facts. Sadly, the subject matter of such sleuthing rarely pertains to her studies.
- Socializing; When it comes to meeting new people, this young woman is never devoid of courage. She’s more than willing to walk right up to just about anyone and start up a conversation. Whether or not it’s appropriate at the time is, of course, another matter entirely.
-Inspiring others; Those who can tolerate her ceaseless energy are often caught up in it, making Jam a good source of motivation simply by being in the same room at times.

WEAKNESSES:
-Not a particularly good student outside her areas of expertise (cooking and physical activity)
-Overly excitable
-Easy to dupe
-Impulsive
-Prone to misunderstandings

HISTORY:
As one might expect by this point, Jam was born in the Guangxi region of China. Her life was simple, and not necessarily one of poverty. Her family ran a small hotel, largely thriving on backpacking tourists. It was from this time in hospitality that she acquired her obsession with the culinary arts, as she would help her mother prepare and serve meals from as early as the age of six. As she grew older her role in the kitchen expanded, and she found herself amazed by the various ways one could modify or enhance flavor. There were so many spices! So many methods of preparation! How could one not take interest? To that child, it was the world’s most underappreciated science. An alchemy that produced not a potion or precious metal, but substance that could be of any nature, and that brought happiness and inspired togetherness in a household. Food was her first love.

But there was something more to the Kuradoberis. Most of the locals knew, but the tourists they catered to were often wowed by the agility and almost inhuman spatial awareness they displayed in their everyday routines. This was because they were a family of martial artists. From the age of eight onward, Jam received daily training in the off-limits space atop the hotel. It was a style of grace-turned-violence, as much about inner wholeness as self-defence. It also utilized Ki; an eastern magic powered not by tome and study, but rather oneness of the body and mind. In that sense the Kuradoberi family might qualify as magicians, if not for Ki’s limited (though still wondrous, in Jam’s eyes) nature.

Rarely did life’s routines remain a constant, and such was certainly the case here. The economy in Guangxi had begun to decline. It was not a major recession by any means, but for people with such a fickle living times became hard. They could manage during the usual tourist seasons, but after that they had to rely on domestic tourism for income, which was excessively uncommon in their town. It soon became clear to the Kuradoberis that, if something was not done, they might find themselves in a situation from which there was no return. Perhaps there was a simple solution, but none presented to them guaranteed a stable existence. When Jam was thirteen, her father made a difficult decision: They would leave China and head for the more prosperous west, where he might better maintain his family in a better economic climate.

Jam was torn apart initially. Who wouldn’t be, under such conditions? In time she managed to find happiness. She turned her ache for her homeland into a sort or pride, finding satisfaction in her heritage and its long history. Her culture, her background, and her martial arts were her own. Her legacy from China. And it brought her joy to know that. But there were gifts to be found in her new home as well! She had mastered her regional cuisine, but with new resources on hand she was able to further expand her range of preparation. The home kitchen became her own laboratory, from which she could produce a culinary map of the world. It was in these shaping years, free of the hotel that had unknowingly fettered her, that she found her true heart’s desire. Some way, some how, she would open a restaurant.

First, of course, she would have to finish her schooling. She has no idea how her father gets the money to send her to KHA, but she has too much pride in her family to let it go to waste. Even if school is hard. Really hard. "How do people do this" hard. At the very least she's determined to take away something from the experience.
