Vampires And Blood

So I've been asked quite a lot how certain blood would effect vampires since we have a fair few of them.

So here's a list.

Royalty.
  • Those of royal lineage taste a little richer and sweeter than those who aren't. Since royals are generally well fed, well cared for, have the best, they will always taste good. The same goes for nobles. They taste good as well.

Faeries
  • The rarest and most addictive blood a vampire can get their hands on. Because it actually tastes different for each vampire, it tastes very much like their favorite thing with an added dose of addiction and almost a drug high.

Demon Blood
  • Addictive, the taste of power, however if a vampire drinks too much of this they will change and become so feral that they'll need to be put down. Arch demon is even worst for this.

Fallen Angel
  • Fallen Angel blood tastes very much like an alcohol. To some it's delicious to others not so much.

Angel
  • Burns. Not good for a vampire, it's like burning them from the inside out.

Zombies, Undead
  • It's like drinking death. A long, painful death for a vampire, like ingesting a poison.

Human
  • Pure human without any impurities is delicious, what's even better is if it's a rarer blood type.
World percentages - How many of the population have these blood types.
    AB negative - 0.45%
    B negative - 1.39%
    A negative - 3.52%
    O negative - 4.33%
    AB positive - 5.06%
    B positive - 20.59%
    A positive - 28.27%
    O positive - 36.44%

Werewolves
  • This is not good for a vampire, it'll leave them ill for weeks.

Vampires
  • Yes vampires can drink from other vampires, it's much like drinking human blood to them only it loses part of it's potency and taste. It'll keep them alive and manage to make sure that they survive but it isn't the best option in the world.

Dragons
  • Dragon blood is... Complex to say the least. It actually goes on the dragons mood. If they're angry then it'll more than likely burn. If they're docile then it'll be somewhat pleasant, if they're happy and excited then it'll taste sweet. None the less drinking from a dragon is like playing the lottery. Most of the time you're not going to end up with the nice tasty blood unless you find a content and docile dragon, most of whom aren't really ready to simply go ahead and let you bite them.

Reaper
  • Death, death and more death. Slow and painful. Long winded death. Though watered down it can simply add a kick to regular blood if a vampire drinks too much? It'll kill them. A full reaper is a bad choice to snack on. Half-breed, can be rather painful. a quarter however is like drinking something warm and spicy.

Siren
  • Generally, a sirens blood is much like a faeries blood. It's perhaps even more rare than faeries as these creatures do not tend to socialize with large groups of people. They're delicious and addictive and only get better over time.

Selkies and mermaids
  • Selkies and Mermaids are edible, however, you have to had a distinct taste for these that's acquired over time. Much like hard liquors, these creatures to most may taste slightly salty yet sweet but to someone who's much older, say 500+ in the years of a vampire, to them it'd taste a lot like whiskey or some other liquor.

Phoenix and Firebirds
  • Very spicy tasting.

Ningyo
  • Ningyo is a Japanese water fairy who cries tears of pearls. Some say that Ningyo has the head of a human and the body of a fish. Other believe it is clad in sheer silk robes that move about it, like waves. Ningyos dwell in gorgeous palaces beneath the sea, and are very seductive. Their blood is just as seductive, it acts like a temporary love potion to any vampire that drinks. They will find themselves not only addicted to the Ningyo but also very protective of it to the point where they may well put themselves at risk just to keep it safe.

Tengu
  • Tengu, in Japanesemythology, appear half-human and half-bird. Tengu were thought to live in the mountains of Japan, and many names of famous tengu are around today. These creatures are sometimes put into twocategories, daitengu and kotengu, depending on their rank andintelligence. Karasu tengu, translated as 'crow tengu' are a kind of tengu, and as their names' suggest, are half crow, half human. They taste very much like humans however their blood tastes a little less heavy.

Elf
  • Tastes like magical energy. A very strange taste, most vampires do not like it.

Sprites
  • Part of the Faerie family, dazzling in color and about the size of large insects, sprites have glistening membranous wings. In fact, they are often confused with exotic insects or flowers at first glance. They make delicious snacks.

Mythra/Cat people
  • Their blood has a bit of a kick tasting rather sweet at first with an almost citrus alcohol like tangy flavor afterwards. When they go in to season for a week or so their blood tastes that much better the taste is much stronger and there's an added aphrodisiac.

Griffin
  • The Griffin (Greek gryphos, Persian شیردال‌ shirdal "lion-eagle") (also very often spelled gryphon and, less commonly, gryphen, griffon, griffen, or gryphin) is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. .... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRINK FROM THIS BEAST! If you DO manage to do so, prepare for a nice delicious taste however also prepare for a week long stomach ache and numerous trips to the bathroom.

Kitsune
  • A fox like creature, it can both appear as human and a full fox. Much different to a werewolf, these creatures blood actually act like an anti-depressant. Highly addictive because a single feeding can keep a vampire in a good mood for two or three days.

Manticore
  • If it doesn't kill you for trying, it's blood will after you drink it. walk a mile in steps after feeding from this beast and a vampires heart will explode their body disintegrating to ash.

Nymphs
  • A nymph is any member of a large class of female nature entities, either bound to a particular location or landform or joining the retinue of a god or goddess, particularly Artemis, goddess of the hunt. These creatures are illusive, they also taste a little like a fine wine. Too much and a vampire WILL get drunk!

Nagas & Naginis
  • Quite briefly, they are serpent-people. The male are known as Nagas while the female are called Naginis. They resemble humans from the waist up, and snakes from the waist down. They don't taste very good.

Want another blood type added? Well then just ask and I'll add it to this list.
