Varick K. Dearche was born within a mercenary group. Child of a human mother and a Vampire father, Varick was mostly a normal child. However was part of a mercenary group he had to learn how to pick up a sword or he would be killed. That was their law and Varick knew that well. He began to train under her mother and uncle in the art of the sword and gun. They wanted him to be as Versatile as he could so he would be the perfect mercenary. Varick trained hard under them, he slowly began to accelerate in the things that he was taught.

Of course Varick never met his father, but his mother did talk a lot about him. Of how strong he was and how he inherited his strength. All Varick wanted to do was meet the guy but his uncle scowled whenever they mentioned him. No one knew where he was currently. So Varick really didn't mind not having his father after all his uncle was almost like his father.

On the day of his 20th birthday he has strange urges, his hands were shaking an each time for some reason the smell of blood made him jittery. These things continued until he completely lost control. He was on a mission to exterminate some targets when one of them had a small cut, the smell of the blood made him black out. Which then, in his bereserk state, He started to rip them appart with his sword until only one was left. He then drank all the blood from his last victim. Everyone who watched was horrified at the sight.

When he came to his mother was at his side, his clothing was covered more in blood. He wanted to remember what exactly happened but it was a bit blurry. His mother told him to stay in his tent while she went and got someone. When she came back she brought along Yasuo, that was the first time he had met the man. They started to explain what he was, and what he did when he blacked out. Varick started to laugh at all that, he really couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Yasuo stayed around for a couple of days, explaining everything that Varick needed to know. Though he didn't really believed it, but the more the man explained the more he understood what was happening. Varick wanted to spar against his father and Yasuo, after much pestering, he accepted. Varick lost not too long after the spar began. After Yasuo explained what Varick needed to know he left without a word. Varick was amazed at the man. He wanted to meet up more with his father.

Varick decided to leave the mercenary group, much to the dismay of his mother and uncle. He left and began to just travel around the countries, wanting to see the world and meet up with his father. Along the way he went to a country that offered Gunblades, and Varick fell in love with the weapon right away. With a new weapon he travels the world, having nothing to hold him back. He tries to find blood from those he is sure no one would miss.
