 out for a walk (open)

Rune found himself having wandered to the edge of a lake in the area. He had just gone out for a walk in the snow and just well... went. No destination, no ideas just where ever his feet took him. It drove Misao nuts when he just went out on a random walk to who knew where. She was more then aware that his uncle was still after him, and that short of seeing his head on a pike in the throne room, he wasn't going to stop hunting Rune. Then again Rune was the same way about his uncle but didn't have the resources to send assassin after assassin..... plus it was personal. Very, very personal.

As he looked out at the lake that was frozen over his cloak got caught in the breeze and started to fly away but he snatched it without even turning. It was freezing cold yet he non-nonchalantly pulled it back on. As far as his use of it went, it kept the snow out of his eyes and could block some light if he needed. He didn't really advertise it, but he was part silver dragon.... one of those traits was a relative immunity to the cold. That being said he detested summer with how hot and muggy it got. He looked around the place, but well, if one saw him he seemed as if he was looking at something different.

Rune was stuck at a moment in the past. He couldn't tell you a date.. the calander where he was from ran on a different system, still going by moon phase, so he was uncertain as to the exact date, but it was around this time, when harvest was over and the snow was falling. A night where the soft white snow was stained a crimson red, a night he would never forget nor forgive. There were those that before that night years ago convinced him that his uncle should be made to face trial of some sort, that he should pay for what he did properly, to avoid the risk of him becoming a martyr for the zealots that served him. But that night, changed things, that night he had an opportunity to simply take out his uncle, had he had no second thoughts and attacked, no plan, just impromptu like them being in the same area at the same time. But no, he held off, he took that advice and someone else payed the price in blood, Rune paid it in other ways. If he ever got his hands on his uncle now, there would be no taking alive, no swift quick cut, his uncle was too dangerous to be left alive... but he had no desire to make it quick and painless.

He snapped out of his thoughts as he thought he heard something. He wasn't sure what it was but looked around and saw nothing. he went back to looking at the frozen lake, but avoided going back to those thoughts and images. He wanted to forget them but they were so well engrained. For now he'd just enjoy the fresh night air.
