Year Groups

First Years

Generally speaking First Years are aged 16 however there are exceptions. There may be the odd 15 year old in the academy. Though that would be due to their date of birth, anyone who's fifteen and is born before September would be a first year.

Second Years

Second years are 17 years of age.

Third Years

Second years are 18 years of age.

Fourth Years

Second years are 19 years of age.

Fifth Years

Second years are 20 years of age.

Sixth Years

Sixth years are 21 years of age.

After Sixth Years

After students graduate they go on to other things, such as a career in the nearby City as a lawyer or something else, they are however still allowed to come back and visit those that they know within a reasonable time and are allowed to stay in on site accommodation till they reach the age of 25 when they are expected to have found their own housing.

Classes

Minimum

Students MUST take at least TWO classes in order to be admitted in to the academy.

Teachers need to take at least ONE class in order to teach... Kinda obvious I suppose.

Maximum

The maximum number of classes at student may take is twelve. Because it's a weekly rota and classes have at LEAST two classes a week.

Teachers may teach up to five classes.

Accommodation

First and Second Year

First and Second Year students all have to stay in gender confined dorms. So Males in the Male Dorms and Females in the Female Dorms.

The only exception would be if the dorms were all full up.

Third, Fourth and Fifth Years

The students in these years actually get a choice. They can either stay in their gender confined dorms or they can move in to the mixed dorms to prepare them for life outside of the academy.

If they get enough cash together? They may even be able to apply for a grant from the academy to have off campus accommodation. This grant will be for 75% of their rent or overall cost of rent for the year.

Sixth Years

The Sixth Year Students are moved in to the mixed dorms or they can move out in to off campus accommodation. If they choose to move in to off campus accommodation the academy will pay 50% of their rent or overall cost of rent for the year. They may even get a grant of 50% towards a fully paid off house.

Professors

Teachers have the choice of either having free on campus accommodation or they can have a free two bedroom apartment off campus. If they wish to own a house? They will get a grant of 75% of the total cost.

Recreational Activities

Students

ALL students are required to take part in at least ONE recreational activity. That is all.

Professors

There isn't a requirement for these but it is recommended that teachers take up at least one recreational activity in which their students take part in. This is to try and help form a good teacher student relationship.

Off Campus Visits

First and Second Years

First and Second Year students are not allowed on off campus visits. However there are acceptations.

  • They go with at least one Third + Year
  • It's to do with a recreational activity
  • They have requested permission to go off campus THREE days in advance.

Third Year +

Third year students and any higher year students are allowed to go off campus when they see fit. However, if it means they miss classes? They will have their luxury of going off campus removed.

Danger Zones

Notes about DANGER Zones

Danger Zone battles are random monster battles that occur when a group of monsters attack a particular place. There are two settings for these. CAUTION and DANGER.

Random Monster battles are something I've always wanted to incorporate in to a site (I've been running sites for about three years now, this one is the best by far ^^). However I couldn't figure out a way to do so. The initial idea was to just throw monsters in to random threads however that wouldn't work because people wouldn't get the choice and if someone didn't have stats it would go badly. So I had to come up with a different way to do it so people could CHOOSE to join. Thus the 'Make it a thread and declare it's up' idea came to mind. Simple, yet effective and it would make things much much easier.

The words on the boards are simply to state and make clear where the battles are, the words are also linked to the thread that the battle is occurring in. This makes it easier for people to get to that thread since they simply need to click on the word to open it.

Caution Zone

If a board says CAUTION (-/5) on it then it's not under attack but there will be an upcoming attack in such a case there will be five slots for people to join the fight.

Danger Zone

[STYLE=border-bottom: 1px dotted #1a1a1a;]If a board says DANGER (-/5) on it then it's under attack there will be five slots for people to join the fight. There MAY or MAY NOT be more than one DANGER (-/5) on one board indicating more than one battle going on.

Rewards for winning can range from Spell Gemstones, Gemstone Slots, Custom Skill Slots, Custom Skill gemstones and even upgrades.
